FOOTPATHS

Looking after the footpaths, for the enjoyment of our community

Farnham with Stratford St Andrew Parish Council aids the maintenance of footpaths within the community by liaising with local landowners to fulfil their responsibilities under Public Rights of Way legislation to keep footpaths visible, unobstructed, and posing no danger to users. We also liaise with the Public Rights of Way Officer at Suffolk County Council in this regard, if and when required.
‍If you find a footpath in or around our villages which is not open and accessible please report it to Suffolk County Council on their reporting tool on their website https://www.suffolk.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/public-rights-of-way-in-suffolk/report-a-public-right-of-way-issue/  This means details are logged and will be dealt with in turn. Please do let your Parish Council know too.
If it is a threat to public safety (for example, overgrown vegetation means it is necessary to walk in the road) then do not fill in the reporting tool but instead ring Suffolk County Council’s  Customer Service Centre during normal working hours on 0345 606 6067 or outside normal working hours ring 01473 433444
